^Here's another thought: Jared went to a very strict Jewish school in New Jersey (Frisch) before his miraculous admission to Harvardinnocent
, so he had that background and upbringing...Why was he seriously dating and obviously discussing marriage to a Christian girl if his beliefs (as opposed to his family's beliefs) were going to be an issue? The serious Jewish kids I grew up with pretty much accepted that, other than casual fun, you did not go with non-Jewish girls- it just is not done...It just looks like the family was calling the shots- if it were his own deeply held religious beliefs, he wouldn't have started a serious relationship with Ivanka to begin with...And as for her conversion- well, it just seems like the price she had to pay to become 'acceptable', I somehow doubt it was a heartfelt, personal thing within her...
Honestly, I had a strict religious upbringing as well, almost everyone around me 'accepted' they were to marry someone from their own religion. I was always different. Regardless of my upbringing I was always attracted to something different than what my family had in mind. For some bizarre reason I was never attracted to anyone from my own religion/culture. It did become a minor issue in the beginning of my relationship with my fiance, but as the relationship progressed he naturally became more interested in learning about it and decided to convert. (I didn't force him or pressure him to). So coming from someone who's been in a similar situation . . I'm not going to personally judge Jared so harshly, because I understand the situation quite well. Not everyone has to be the same . .and like exactly what is 'expected' of them. Sometimes, you fall for somebody and you can't help it. As long as they both get along, and understand each other I don't see the problem. Although, family wise if Ivanka was initially rejected it might be a problem. My family was very accepting of my fiance from the beginning.
