I love the double-breasted cardigan and the coat in the second look... very nice...

Suede boots.. great.. i never got the opportunity to get those Dior Homme ones from VotC...

.. so these will do...

It looks like cheap Dior Homme, their casting's getting nicer though and plus points for forgetting those hideous signature belts

Speaking of Swedish design labels, I would much rather shop at Acne, I think their clothes are much more "pure" than what Lindeberg is doing.

i was just going to post that when i saw the collection in style.com i really liked it. it uncomplicated

so true, it's uncomplicated, little bit minimal, but surely can see the details in those pieces of clothes

yep, me too.. i'd choose Acne Jeans before J.Lindeberg & Tiger Of Sweden.. anytime..

uhh, Tiger of Sweden makes me shiver.

I'm not a big fan of Acne or anything else from Sweden, but I do agree that they are way better than JL. This collection is way too Diorish and lacks personality. Some of the trousers looks descent though, and I'm happy the collection is lacking those awful big JL buckle belts.

Seems like everyone is wearing those belts.. and that ugly JL hoodie... In Denmark

I wouldn't call it a cheap Dior Homme more like an affordable Dior Homme. There is even a leather bomber jacket in the collection! It still looks great in my opinion and a bit more minimalist then Dior is usually, none of the shiny gilettery stuff for those who aren't down with that.

What ends up in the shop is everything else than "minimal"... especially the jeans are quite gimmick-ish. It´s not the look that I find disturbing, it´s the detailing and execution that I do not like. Dior is definitely much cleaner by design (even the shimmering suits are minimal by these standards, without any disturbing topstitches, additional pocket flaps etc.), not that busy except from some over-the-top show items. But in general, I find it hard to find labels that are really "pure" by design, without any label-specific design gimmicks such as bright/wide stitching or overtly big embroideries on jean pockets.

^ oh yeah...

Those J.Lindeberg jeans with "JL" stitched on the back pockets.. are somewhat becoming a must-have for every eurotrash guy out there.. :ninja:

...They always send us invites to see their collection in London, they´d fly you in just to browse through, I was very surprised about it, frankly. What I don´t like is how they are trying so hard to be rock'n'roll-ish, it´s painfully contrived how they are watching out for new "in" rock singers... The invite we received had the names of Carl Barat, Juliette Lewis etc. written in bold letters, that was pretty tacky...

^ & ^

so you guys are saying that the runway presentation is really that deceiving? i'm just asking

You said it! People sometimes equal solid, matte colour to "minimal" even if there are a million busy details. Minimalism is (or should be) about clean lines and purity...

A lot of collections look by far better from pictures than they actually are in person... I remember clearly when I once made an appointment to see the Luella Bartley collection several seasons ago, everything that looked nice from the pictures turned out to be absolutely horrible in person, especially the coat was a desaster, the fabric turned out to be something like an itchy potato sack thing! Utterly the worst disappointment I´ve had so far...

I hate those JL belts. :ninja:

The collection is not bad, form what I can see, but as people have pointed out it's D.H 'gone cheap'.

i can see how it resembles dior homme especially the leather(?) pants in the sixth picture from the first post
overall, it's not bad, clean straight lines and cut. Just missing that little oomph to make it a good collection, perhaps add a little accessory or embellishment here and there to finish the outfits??

i disagree that clothes with details can't be minimal, i think it's the simple cut and the total look that make it minimal, details just refers to the craftmenship and detailing of the clothes, why helmut lang and prada were said to be minimal was because of their simple cut and the minimal matched look but there're many details from their clothes too, of course i am not saying the brand J.Lindeberg is minimal as sometimes they have hardcore logo on the clothes, but some of the pics i posted like the grey suit and the camel cashmere coat are really minimal
