J.W. Anderson S/S 2016 London

As a fan of JW's work I can say that I'm quite surprised. I like that collection and some pieces are really sexy in his own way which is always cool to see but at the same time I can see some references to Ghesquiere's LV. Still it's a good collection.

I find it quite interesting. There are definitely unique silhouettes. Although some of them could have ben more flattering.

It would've been a pretty decent collection if it weren't for those hideous shoulder pads  Everything else is quite ok, dare I say, actually lovely at some moments.

Nicolas called and he wants his inspiration board back. I actually spotted some nice pieces that will work well on their own. But, I feel like there’re going to be try-hard bloggers with the bra over their shirts next season.

I do think Anderson is very good at playing with decades, this feels sort of 90's. The leggings, exercise wear as day wear, the gold jewelry, geometric prints. Some of the looks however do look out of place like others have mentioned. Can't say I'm in love with it but I do value Anderson he makes London interesting to me.

some of the pieces are more wearable which is really nice but still very creative.I love he pushing forward with his own collection and it was really him.

i liked the first look, those pants and the double crossbody bags, but then... blah. got too busy and gimmicky. too bad.

And he said something like the idea is to visit different eras from the past in a juxtaposition, ok Alain Resnais II, go polish your language please.
I really don't care how critics praise this collection.

This is why i can't take his work for his own brand seriously. It feels like he wants to be more than what he is.
The most successful outfits are the most commercial ones. You can't experiment with shapes and everything without understanding the female forms. He is like Raf Simons at Dior. So much more efforts into the concept and no interest in the actual reality of it on a body.

And the Ghesquière obvious influence mixed with MiuMiu skinny pants and Peter Dundas's Pucci prints? No comment.

I prefer his work at Loewe. It's much less pretentious!

I actually really like this. It's so creative and different, Anderson is such an interesting designer and I love those exaggerated silhouettes.

as much as I like the idea of Anderson- strange awkward shapes, unconventionally feminine, daring etc, this , as most of his past collections leaves me confused .. when he does get it right it's fantastic , but I feel like more often he doesn't get it right.. lack of experience , or too big a workload maybe- somewhere there is an interesting and potentially great designer , but this collection is not it

i like it when he makes the flattering, tighter clothes. the wearable day to day ones. there are some amazing looks here

I really like 30% of this and hate 70% of the rest of it. So many misses... barely any hits.

I loved about ten looks immediately, but the more I look at the collection, the more confused I get.

Not Anderson's best collection, sometimes his 'borrowing' works, this season not so much.

Normally I view his collections as either hate it or love it ones. This time I'm kind of on the fence. I like how it's avant-garde yet accessible in some quarters. At the same time some of the pieces just feel unnecessary and don't add anything to the collection. You also cannot avoid the very literal references. All in all, I like it way more than I dislike it.
