Janice Dickinson | Page 10 | the Fashion Spot

Janice Dickinson

I met her backstage at LA fashion week. When i first spotted her my first thoughts were how absolutely stunning she was- she doesnt look harsh like she does on TV she just looks beautiful. She was so friendly and eager to let me take a pic with her which i'll post if i can get it up. So beautiful, so friendly, and obviously smart- her books are brilliant.

janice can

totally- I'm a giant fan of hers. :flower:

Ive seen more than a hundred models in real life, and janice was 1 of the first I EVER saw.

and to this day I still think she was one of the most beautiful and sexy I ever saw, and this was when she was still working!!

I didnt even know much about fashion then or read hardly any mags but i was totally blown away by her exotic looks- and I still think shes one of the hottest ever!! :o

Ooh please do! :D

EVERYone should read her biography! i mean everyone, even if you are not into the model-craze.. it's simply a good read. her life was just FASCINATING. she was wild and she loved it.. the drugs, the parties, the sex, the celebs, the exclusive clubs.. she was into it all and she had it all. no matter what though-- work was first, and she was a good business woman! she knew how to get what she wanted from the agencies, and she knew how to even boost her salaries from the clients.

I'm not saying her behavior was right, but it certainly is fascinating to read about!

you will get goood dirt on her if you read No Lifeguard on Duty. (i.e. she had sex with Sylvester Stalone.. or however you spell it, yep, ROCKY! and many more secrets..even her first out-of-body experience, and her painful first experience of getting "deflowered") Yeah, she had some abortions, once she had sex in a church dressed up as a nun, and she had some interesting marriages. The woman who created Ford (Eileen Ford, I believe it is) turned her down at first and said "My God, did you see those lips?" ..notice her BIG lips.:) Later Ms. Ford was GRATEFUL to accept her into the agency, after Janice was well-known.

She is a gorgeous, exotic woman. She had a tough childhood, hated her father, had many drug problems, was a regular at Studio 54, and she had a tough time getting into the business. She worked DAG ON hard. Back then, all people wanted were classic All-American blonde-haired, blue-eyed beauties. She made her exotic look work; the woman was the epitome of a supermodel in the 80's.

Yeah she's posed for Playboy, but heck it's Janice and she does whatever the she wants.:)

Props to Janice!

I love her first book. I mean I've read it nearly 10 times. Has anyone read the second one, I've heard its very superfical.

The first book (NLGOD) is a classic - it's funny, tragic and very original. I haven't read many model autobiographies but I have a hard time thinking any of them are as good as this one. It's one of my favourite books ever:flower: . The second book now, ehm, it has some good anecdotes (about Gia for instance) and it is an interesting insight into the world of an autoaesthetic overachiever - some of the things Janice has done to herself in order to look good are just too funny and she ALWAYS ALWAYS gets credit for being so honest. Of course, she could be exaggerating in order to make a good story, what do I know, all I know is that she makes a beautiful contrast to the perfectly groomed and boringly mentally perfectoid Hollywood stars of today. Still, the second book is not as good, not in any way. She probably put it together too quickly.

Divaceous Janice Dickinson

I was surprised to see Janice Dickinson at Surreal Life, she's really tall and long......At her age she looked so good, no?........Models do look like gods next to mere mortals, .........

Janice looks fantastic. She is so elegant - yet so devoid of being boring. Luv Janice

Plus there's an art to plastic surgery too. You need to know what you should have done. Too many people go for too much botox. The worst example must be Axl Rose, whom I basically worship for his contributions to humankind between 1987-1992. He had this beautiful face which became chiseled in the most delectable way when he kept himself on the rock star diet - he really was astonishingly beautiful. And now, he refuses to wear make-up - which he basically has to to look good because he's got white/red eyelashes - and instead gets botox and whatnot in all the wrong places. I think his surgeon must have hated him or something...

I love Janice !

Until I saw America's Next Top Model I knew very little about Janice and I thought she was stunning then, yes we know she's got too many fillers and botox done but he bone structure is incredible and she was sooo beautful and her body is still amazing.

It must be realyl hard for someone who has been so beautiful to watch their face grow old and wrinkly and saggy before their eyes so I don't blame her.

She makes me laugh so much too.

Seriously though I watched an E documentary on her and she had the most awful childhood (her dad molested her sister) and she has had loads of problems with men, drugs & drink too.

I love her !!
