Janice Dickinson

Apparently, Twiggy has a solo album coming out in July?? hmm.. wonder what that will be like

I think Janice is definitely entertaining as a judge on the show, "America's Next Top Supermodel"

She made a similar impression on me when I was watching 'When supermodels ruled the world'. Saw it again last night and think she describes herself as the first supermodel, but she describes a supermodel as being a model one who is not only powerful and popular on the runway and in the campaigns, but also a bit of a diva and famous for more than just their work. Now I'm probably wrong, but Twiggy and her kind, despite their popularity, were never really divas of the industry, just very successful and loved. But the whole basis of the programme, documentary, whatever, was to mark the rise and fall of the supermodel elite and according to it, the status of supermodel is now lost with their power and the actresses are now the ones back in the spotlight.

Anyway, I don't like Janice :innocent:
Twiggy modeled for only four years, then pretty well dropped put of sight. The phrase of "supermodel" was pretty well created by the media. Chris Owen of Elite Models said it was a combination of factors. They represented the majority of the original "Supermodel Pack". Linda Evangelista and Cindy Crawford started off the movement , followed shortly after by Naomi, Christy Turlington and Tatjana Patitz. They're press coverage, million dollar cosmetic campaigns and lack of glamor in Hollywood at the time all set up the scene for the "Supermodel" phrase.

I have to say I like Janice's attitude, she's pretty funny but takes herself a little too seriously sometimes...

Also, what has she done to her face?! I think she looks pretty now, but look what she used to look like! Way too much botox has really hurt her natural beauty...

In my opinion, she takes herself seriously none of time. Boasts and puffery are her bread and butter. However she knows what she's talking about. It may not be evident by what she herself looks like though. But if I wanted to start a fashion magazine, I'd pick Janice to be on my shortlist of possible editors-in-chief.

What she has to say about her own self-history is more suspect than a guy selling radios out of his van. But her views on fashion are solid and I find myself agreeing with her quite a bit more than most of the time.

omg is that the girl the book was made...something about a lifeguard? i was on a plane once and a girl was reading that, and she let me see and there was hexa nude pics i was like uh oh thanks..haha

I JUST finished the book!

It took me about a day!

I LOVE IT! She's soo honest, and leaves out absolutely nothing. Then, at the end of the book, you will realize this woman is human. Supermodel or not. :) I loved it.

And as far as the nude pictures, they're beautifully done. Nudity does not always mean sex...but as far as Janice goes.... ;)

the before shot isnt bad but after seeing her on next top model she seems abit disturbed to me

wow she looks so incredibly different now...her face is really sharp and fake and kind of hard to look at, but back when she was a model she had such a soft face with soft features. jesus what happened?

Post your thoughts and photos of the world's first supermodel JANICE DICKINSON!!

she looked nice back then what happen

tone

considering janice is in her 50s she looks damned good. check out her legs sometime theyre better than many women in their 30s. sure she got facial surgery- at least she admits it as opposed to the many models & actresses who lie every day about face & body work.
janice's honesty humour & directness are part of why shes so smart & such a welcome voice in the often insincere fashion world. she rocks!!!

she makes me smile :D

& i am sooooooooooo glad that women over the age of like 12 are getting to be sexy nowadays

i really do not think she is or ever was a 'supermodel'...

that phenomenon occurred long after she was past her prime...

supertramp however... :innocent:

She was gorgeous in her heyday, but her face just looks scary now after all that surgery. She is a very humorous person, though. Her comments on America's Next Top Model and in both her books never fail to make me laugh.

;)
