veryone is quick to give this man a bunch of crap, yet, Jared Leto is one of those artists that takes his acting very seriously and for those of you who have not been informed about his Sundance movie, “Chapter 27” (still seeking distribution), I’m going to give you a quick recap. Jared played Mark David Chapman, the obsessive fan that killed John Lennon.

Purple Magazine chronicled his 60 lb. weight gain into what became a very fat Jared. (Pictured above)​

To add the weight needed to play Chapman, Leto told Jimmy Kimmel he put pints of chocolate Häagen-Dazs ice cream in the microwave so he could drink them - with olive oil and soy sauce added “to get me bloated even more”.​

As Hollywood has proven in the past, actors that go through physical transformations book themselves a one way ticket to an Oscar nomination. I’m betting my old box of Ramen Noodles that in 2008, that might remain the same. It doesn’t hurt either that the movie revolves around a Beatle. Yepp. This movie could be huge….if it gets picked up !
