Hot Pulse supermodels Jaunel McKenzie and Nell Robinson teamed up and took New York City by storm this past week. Sporting a fresh new look, the world's number one black model, who has recently had a hair-raising transformation, shot a campaign for fashion-forward retail powerhouse Target.
Her London-based colleague and the brand new Rimmel campaign girl, Nell Robinson, spent the week hanging with Jaunel at her Manhattan home and the top NY night spots, while seeing clients and major photographers by day.

Robinson, Pulse says, has major invites from Big Apple clients, and that the agency is responding to extremely persistent requests to represent her in modelling's number one money market. An announcement, the representative said, can be expected soon.
Jaunel, who calls New York home (outside of Jamaica) had her hands full, busy as she was playing host to her colleague and long-time friend, while fulfilling her own assignments. "The elegant supermodel has multiple top flight options of which the Victoria's Secret fashion show tops the chart.
Neiman Marcus, with whom McKenzie has earned favoured status, also has prime position on the books and London will almost certainly be calling soon as an edition of Elle from across the Atlantic has its cameras fully focused," said Pulse CEO Kingsley Cooper.
McKenzie & Robinson (the two nells), reportedly had a whale of a time in the city, having been fast friends from that fateful summer of 2002, when McKenzie was adjudged Caribbean Fashion Model and Robinson was adjudged Supermodel of the Caribbean, in Pulse's first ever Caribbean Model Search.
Meanwhile, Robinson says she has kept a hectic schedule of meeting with the top NY fashion houses, including Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. "I have literally seen all the major fashion houses and met with almost all the editors and fashion directors in the city. The response has been great, I am definitely feeling a New York state of mind coming on," said Robinson, also met with photographer Steven Miesel's team before heading back to London a few days ago.
While the supermodels attended to their professional duties, they still found time to throw in a little partying in the spirit of the Halloween season. And so, it was off to House of Fields to get costumed and be made up for the exclusive Halloween party that played host to the city's fashion elite.
They also did a bit of shopping therapy and were hosted at pre-party dinners at some of New York 's top restaurants, including Nobu and Mr Chow.
Both McKenzie and Robinson enjoy a wonderful life in the high-flying world of fashion and beauty. The week that was New York, is indeed a fateful convergence of the careers of these two Jamaican fashion stars.
