I'm guessing maybe because it's her first major season and with the number of shows she did (can't remember exactly how many, but there were quite a few) it would get pretty tiring? :flower:

This isn't her first major season http://www.runwaymayhem.com/models/jaunel.html

I like her. Sometimes her face looks strange, but she has the ability to look very beautiful as well.

yeah, she's hit and miss at times. i like her though.

BTW. hi everyone i'm new!

Jaunel McKenize is either running for, or IS the Miss Jamaica Universe 2005... I'm not sure if she won, but if so she'll be representing Jamaica at Miss Universe in Thailand.. (That's the pageant owned by Donald Trump of Trump Models NYC) by the way.

ew I hate beauty pageants

i like her in the bergdorf pics - i think the natural look suits her. has an awesome walk and kills it on the runway however, i don't like her much in eds though.

well speaking from experience i am a model but i have also recently just competed in a pageant (Miss Universe-Canada)... I think modeling vs. pageants are similar but at the same time sooooooo very different. The look requirements are alot different... Modeling is about slim/skinny and no muscle tone, however pageants require a curvier and more physically toned/fit body. i personally love doing pageants (big ones, not cheap local things) because the opportunities are HUGE! Jennifer Hawkins (Miss Universe 2004) has done tons of charity work, she's advanced her modeling/acting career with ad campaigns for Pepsi, done work in Stuff magazine, etc.. She's done alot with her title. Aside from all the advancements, pageants are just a great opportunity to get involved in your communities or charities that you feel passionate about. I know people say it's cliche... but it really does make you want to become a better person. And for me physically, it was a hell of a lot more fun working out at the gym to get a hot bikini body, than it is to starve myself or having to stay away from weights at the gym with fear of getting too muscular.

I personally enjoy performing on stage, which is why I also find pageants fun and different. Which is always why runway is my fav part of modeling too.
From my pageant experience I networked with alot of fashion designers, which I now walk the runways for.
Models in pageants can be a VERY good bonus to your career! And I didn't even win!
