And thank you for those pics:flower:

for some reason Julia Stegner reminds me of Jean Shrimpton.....

^I've never noticed that before. Though, now that I think about it, they do look quite similar :)

God, you're right! Julia could be her sister! There are very few who can hold a candle to Jean! She was always my fav!
Last I heard she and her husband had a bed and breakfast in the English countryside- Anyone know any more about her today?

^ I recently read an interview with her and her husband. I'll see if I can find it :flower:

i think Jean and Julia Stegner have similar facial features, but i can't quite pick it.

i think it's also their skin colouring, and perhaps even their hair colour too.

Both women are just gorgeous!

Jean wrote her autobiography in the mid sixties- not bad but she was pretty young so it was limited. Anyone aware of another book on her? I know Bailey had a lot about her in his books but I understood she had written another herself...

Keep the pics coming! It is pretty hard to find good ones these days (unless you want to buy old issues of Vogue for $50 each!) :-<

Great, can you tell me what issue of glamour magazine did the shrimp appear on in 1963 and 1963

She really does look like Julia Stegner. Julia has a very natural beauty and is very photogenic.

She is very beautiful! Really represents all a model stands for. (Jean S.)

It was the October 1963 issue of Glamour :flower:

Supercute British Vogue cover from 1964 by Peter Knapp. (scanned by me)
