Thanks Nina. That's a pretty old pic. She was only 14. How's my translation? It said Jeisa's been working less than a year but she does 18 hour days and is already earning more than her father. Those are crazy hours for a 14 year old.

Well the gist of the article seems to be a discussion of how, unlike in most other industries, girls must enter modelling at a very young age to gain a foothold. It's a discussion of whether that's healthy for girls aged 14. (Or at least I think so, I don't speak Portuguese.)

The 18 hours must be an exaggeration. But I don't know much about working practices in Brasil so...
