I find Jennifer taking the safe route kind of smart. She's obviously not very familiar with fashion, like that horrible bandeau dress she wore to the BAFTAs (I think). So wearing the classics is the best way she can go right now before she starts developing a look that works for her persona on the red carpet.

I get the feeling that Jennifer is a tomboy (she used to be a softball player),
so I think that's one reason she plays it safe.
And she's from the south. Country girls like to be comfortable...I speak from experience.

Congrats to Jennifer for landing the role of Katniss. It was officially announced (I just heard it on MTV)!
That's a pretty big deal for her career! Even though, she's not how I pictured Katniss, she's a great actress and I'm sure she will do the role justice.

I like Jennifer, but she looks for me even older that her real age. I'm not disappointed with her chosen as Katniss, but my thoughts were about Ella Purnell or Hailee Steinfeld.

I'm kind of disappointed that she did a photoshoot like that.
She's a hot girl with a hot body, but I don't know....

@Prairie: I think she looks older than 20 too. I always thought she was about 25, but the filmmakers had a good reason for choosing her. Plus, I understand why they would want someone older instead of a teenager. They can get away with more with an older actress. There are a lot of intense, serious themes in the Hunger Games (murder, sex, etc), so I think someone Jennifer's age will give them more flexibility. Plus, Peeta and Gale can also be older actors.
