Jennifer Lawrence

i am sorry but she was good in SLP but that was not an oscar worthy performance really?

She looks great but I think she should have worn the Calvin Klein dress she wore to the Vanity Fair party. It looks sexy and less bridal.

Jennifer Lawrence changes into a stunning metallic dress while attending the 2013 Vanity Fair Oscar Party held at Sunset Tower on Sunday (February 24) in West Hollywood, Calif.
The 22-year-old actress looked absolutely beautiful in a Calvin Klein dress, Brian Atwood shoes, and Shay jewelry.

I like her dress for the VF party but i don't think it would have been appropriate for the ceremony itself. It's too 'in your face' sexy, which she totally rocks, but I love the dress she wore for the ceremony. The shape was stunning and it's interesting and beautiful without being too in your face. I think her stylish struck the right balance.

I love her both dresses, especially the Dior. Both dresses are very appropriate for the moments when she wears them. Dior is feminine, soft, elegant, dignified, a great choice. The CK dress is perfect for the party, sexy!
And I think her fall on the stairs is unfortunate, but also adorable. It just gives her more positive attention.

LOL at the haters

Apparently she did it as a joke and then realised they were taking pics. Reaction afterwards

So happy for her for her win last night. Even thought the Dior was predictable I thought she looked absolutely beautiful:heart:, pics dont do the gown as much justice as on tv though. The color was so beautiful and the way it moved was lovely. Also she looks so sexy in the CK, shows off her amazing figure to perfection.:flower:

I liked the Calvin Klein dress better too, but that's because I'm not that fond of full skirted dresses.

As for her win, I personally agree with a lot this video from indiewire, from their Who Should Win series:

But ultimately it’s Jennifer Lawrence in Silver Linings Playbook who deserves to win, though part of it is due to the role, which is probably the most complex of the five roles to play. Tiffany is an emotionally disturbed widow fighting a sex addiction, looking to have a real relationship with a guy who has plenty of his own problems. That’s a lot of character issues for an actress to handle, but Lawrence grounds it all with an intelligence that’s disarmingly frank. In this early scene, she sets the terms. There’s so much hyper-awareness in her look and her voice, as if her character is too smart for her own wreck of a life. She thoroughly knows her problems but she doesn’t know what to do about them, and that makes her vulnerable.

And btw, she looked so goofy in most of the press room shots I've seen so far -

so glad she won, had a little silent freak out at work when i found out this morning:lol:
i'm not a fan of the after party dress, but the dress she wore to the ceremony is growing on me more and more

Happy for her but yeah, it wasn't the best out of the nominees - it wasn't even her best performance.

Love all these pictures of her. Really want her necklace.

I continue to hate her in Dior.

The Calvin dress at the after-party is not my favorite either, but fit wise it is sexy and what works best on her body. She also looks extremely confident and comfortable in it.

CK dress is beautiful, beautiful!

Dior one killed me with the choice of colour. i wish it was a much bolder colour, it would've look interesting. this way i can't tell if it looks generic or just classic.. overall, go Jen! i'm very happy for her. :yay:
