On the fence about this look, on the one hand the color and print are lovely :flower:but it just seems the hem should be longer like knee-length. And wish she wouldve worn her hair down in soft waves wouldve been pretty with neckline but still nothing can take away from her beauty:heart:

that hair, that dress, paired with terrible shoes - just wrong, from head to toe!!

Love the AFI awards outfit and whole look.

The last outfit is awful along with the makeup and hairstyle.

Jessica Chastain hit the red carpet for the 2012 AFI Awards this afternoon in LA.

The actress tried out a mod look wearing a black sleeveless top and white knee-length skirt with black pocket details from the Andrew Gn Resort 2012 collection.

Her look was minimally styled with Christian Louboutin sling-backs and the same onyx earrings worn to the Critic’s Choice Awards yesterday evening.

A chic ponytail with side swept bangs and neutral makeup completed her look.

I like her hair and I like the print of the dress, but it's so ill-fitted.
It looks too tight and uncomfortable.

I don't really get her appeal... and wearing pageant girl hair to the Globes isn't going to help me understand it. I can't decide how I feel about the dress.

I didn't either until I saw her act. She's just really talented.

Have you not seen any of the movies she's in? Her beauty translate incredibly on screen, especially in The Tree of Life. Very ethereal.

She is an amazing actress. So much grace and poise that comes through the screen. But i think she needs a stylist. Or if she has one, fire them and pick someone else.

Her appeal is through her acting. I doubt she cares about looking like a style icon. I personally loved her look. The hair definitely looked better on screen.

Ugh she's soooooooooo beautiful.
I saw her in The Help and I was stunned.
I kept saying to myself, who is this incredibly stunning, beautiful, and captivating actor? And then it took me awhile to realize it was Jessica, the star who has been hyped for so long that I had never seen in anything before

She was just so good in it (I know it sounds like I just think she's hot, which I do, but seriously, she was so good).

The look at the GG was a huge disappointment...Actually her latest looks have been missteps:(
didn't like the hair as well

such a pity she didn't win! I though she deserved it more than anyone

Joining the few people who liked her look at the GG. I admit being extremely biased because I'm in love with her acting but as I already said she nailed the retro trophy-wife look.
Going for the total look with the haird and the jewels was quite bold but it suited her perfectly, that's why I like it so much. Moreover the dresign of the dress complimented her figure and her skin tone perfectly. Big win for me.

Congratulations for scoring another nod, she truly deserves it even if the competition will hard.
