That may be it. I remember and interview with Bethann and in essence she was saying (paraphrase) a girl like Jessica had the fashion world at her feet but she didn't want to go in that direction she preferred a different type of life/modeling.^^I guess so and/or maybe she's been branded as just that and she doesn't get the gigs and covers. I miss girls who liked to work, jokes. Whatever the pay is for SI its still once year and you can't do that forever. But again I dont know her goals. I was just thinking if you're a model...you want to model, get as much work as you can.
Then in an interview Jess had when her book was coming out she spoke of being enthralled with the fast life of the hiphop video girl and being in the black magazines so having to go away and do runway or work got pushed to the side cos she wanted to be in these other ventures meet those types of people and live that life. That "fast" period in her life also coincided with her drug issues.
I'm sorry I can't give a source for these "recollections".
Okay thanks but it doesn't really add up to me. Being in black mags/videos is being a fashion model?! She could've been one of the greats if what you said about Bethann is true. Sorry but I just don't see how being in SI and a few men's magazines a year is the way to get that. She must've really not liked modeling or she didn't have something to keep her afloat in the fashion world. Some girls just don't have that extra thing be it toughness or talent.
