Jimmy Choo Handbags

Like so many fashion companies, they're scared of taking a risk and coming up with something original , so they just take elements from the most popular selling bags at the time. The Tulita is a fusion of Gucci hobo and Luella straps, with a hint of Birkin. I suppose that's what all commercial bag designers are forced to do. When I was at Karen Millen, two of the head designers discarded my original sketches and put a Dolce and Gabbana bag on my desk which they'd bought. Copy this, they said! What about my big furry clutch, I said, it'll sell well I think. They ignored my comments and pointed at the Dolce and Gabbana bag. So I designed an interpretation of that Dolce and Gabbana bag. I think too many companies are also worried about coming up with an instant classic, bags become classics after many years, or after a particular celeb has shown off that bag at the right moment, like Grace Kelly or Jackie O.

There's a lot of suits in fashion thesedays too, when I say suits I mean the corporate guys who are only interested in a few bucks. Fashion has always been a business, but never so much like today with huge companies running fashion houses. It's just the same in my games business, great ideas and interesting things have to be watered down to appeal to a mainstream. Some cool stuff gets through, thankfully.

Hmmm, no-one knows what happened to that Dolce and Gabbana bag I got told to copy, it just kind of vanished soon after! ;)

So, Jimmy Choo, come up with something sexy, sleek and feminine.

Good job Fendi, Versace and Chloe always seem to come up with new exciting shapes and colours each season.

Oh the politics of handbags...

I dog the hardware on this clutch. Metallic snake... daddy likes.

I've never been a fan of Jimmy Choo bags. I like metallic puthon evening bags, but not keen on that buckles and hardware.

^ i agree, i like the first bag, but i think the wide buckle, and the brown leather straps really detract from the bag-i think something a lot smaller and simpler would have looked much better. the tie die python is pretty tho.

I still feel that the Jimmy Choo bags need to have their own distinct look.
Thus far, it seems like every design seems inspired by bags from other houses.

Hmm, I can't say I'm crazy about either one of those bags but the shape of the first one is okay...

I LOVE EM!
Metallics are great!

I have always thought Choo bags were very pricey, but they are soo gorge!

jimmy choo bags always have too many things going on at the same time..
the only bag i ever liked from them was the red bugati bag.. gorgeous color.

as always, nice materials but I don't like the styling or hardware.

I was just going to write that.. there is to much going on with these bags.

I'm a big fan of Choo's shoes but not the bag just too much going on don't like the hardware.

I own the shoes and love them. I recently bought a bag and I love it. Most of them I'm not crazy about, however, I love some of them. I bought the patchwork one, it does stand out in the crowd. I'll be posting some pics up.

Is that the bag called theo something?? Thats is the only choo bag I actually liked. I was even close to getting it on sale. I think that bag looks much better in its sqaurish-shape when the flap is closed.
I like the sqaure hardware on that bag. A bit disapoointed that Lohan hs the bag now though..

The bag is called RAMONA Leather tote and will be available soon..the bag will come in lime, navy, black, brown and camel/bone color.

The bag is now on pre-order at bergdorfgoodman - costs$1850

I am torn between navy and brown though, there's also a picture of Nicole R. toting the crocodile version in camel/bone color at www.jimmychoo.com;)
