Hey, Gabilan6, is Joan Smalls pretty famous in Puerto Rico? .

Well, I have always follow her since she was a newcomer, because of the internet and so, but here in PR the average people don't pay too much attention to the high fashion models, but, since she walks in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show, the newspapers and some magazines are talking about her. What angry me is that some times they put wrong information about her anyways I have wrote to her mom several times via Facebook and she told me that if Joan came back some day to relax, she will invite me to meet her

I could totally see Joan being a fashion reporter in the future (after she is a supermodel)!! Her people skills are really great, & she is very likable. And I agree, her skin is flawless.

Wow, you're going to meet her one day!!!, that's crazy cool. You should take a picture with her for us when you do meet her.

Joan being in this editorial is such a good thing, because it means Steven Meisel still likes her!!! This really increases her chances of a VI cover in the future. He doesn't shoot her that often but he has worked with her at least 7 times by now, so she must be one of the girls that likes to keep in rotation. Meisel is very fickle with models these days, so the fact that she has managed to keep is interest for so long is quite an accomplishment, don't you think?

^What seems really weird to me is that they didn't use any of the shots with her for the cover! This would have been a perfect opportunity to finally give her a Vogue cover, even if MG. She's pretty much the star of the main editorial (and I'm really no fan of Joan at all, normally), honestly don't get why they picked a shot with two bland blondes for the cover.


Also, regarding the video that was posted: I liked her much better there than in other video interviews I've seen with her. She seems genuinely sweet, actually. Her laugh is just hilarious, though!

^Yeah, this would have been a great opportunity for a cover, but I don't want it to be MG, I want it to be OG!!! I'm just thinking on the positive- Meisel still likes her. That gives some hope for a VI cover, eventually. Its a great thing that she is still being used for the 3 big Vogues regularly, so I'm not complaining.

Oh, and isn't she always the star of everything she does?
