A woman of color closing Dior?? That is just so...so truly French and perfect given the collection! Women of color in France really paints a great picture of the history of French fashion. Makes it so perfect that Joan was last, since the whole line was like...a nautical take on French fashion in the mid 20th century. So great.

it shouldn't have to be a competition. i think they both bring an entirely different aesthetic to VS. Chanel is bright and bubbly and fun and smiley and young and fresh. Joan is sexy and dark and edgy and smouldering and rock-n-roll. just cause they're both women of colour shouldn't mean that they have to cancel each other out.

VS has both Adriana and Alessandra and Doutzen and Candice and they're all doin' fine. lol.

Joan has had a truly remarkable season. i hope it translates into campaign work (and i'm sure it will!)
