The F/W 2026.27 Show Schedules...

Smalls is a newcomer to FORBES’ list this year, but the Puerto Rican model found stardom in the industry long before that. She already topped Models.com’s rankings back in September, and she’s also the first Latina ambassador for Estee Lauder.
Smalls’ career kicked off in 2010 when she was handpicked to walk exclusively for Givenchy, and since then she’s posed for Chanel, Lacoste, Calvin Klein Jeans and covered Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and GQ. Agency: IMG
The Puerto Rican model Smalls (No. 8) became the first Latina ambassador for Estée Lauder in 2010 and has since filled her client list with big names: Victoria’s Secret, H&M, Fendi and Givenchy. “A model of color selling luxury products makes a huge statement. Increasingly, brands are trying to connect with consumers by incorporating diversity into their image, and someone like Joan relates well to the key demographics that advertisers really want to reach,” said Bart, whose agency also represents Smalls.

I want to see her at all the shows! Is it because she's too expensive now or because she's not getting casted?Love the new Tiffany shot!
and I don't want to be a downer but it's a shame Joan is already on Special ArrangementI want to see her at all the shows! Is it because she's too expensive now or because she's not getting casted?
I really wish Joan & Karlie wouldn't have said that. They're definitely not at the level of fame that Linda or Naomi were in their heyday, but in this begrudging time of bland newbies popping up every 2.5 seconds, they really are too big for most shows. It's just odd to put them in the middle of shows, without opening or closing, like any other common model. I bet Joan will only walk shows in New York that she can open/close or is guaranteed a campaign. Like, walking in the middle of a Michael Kors show is a waste of time for Joan. We all know Karmen will get MK, so there's no point in doing that.
Hopefully she can surprise us with something like Proenza Schouler. I could totally see her in a campaign for them, depending on the mood of the collection.
