Wow, some of these shots are really beautiful, like the second one in particular. Even though I like the first one (cover), the second shot would've made for a better cover imo.
 
Wow I didn't think I'd see the day when a black model appears on a major mainstream US magazine cover:lol:. I'm sooo BEYOND happy for Joanie:buzz:. Not only does she look lovely but I can't think of anyone who deserves it more^_^. Can't wait to see which cover she appeares on next:woot:
 
Yes, It is amazing to have Mixed-race Model:wink: like Joan, on the cover of a magazine, especially a Latina.:greengrin:

Not many models of any race get to grace the covers of American Fashion publications especially not any women of color.:heart:

What Elle has done is kind of revolutionary for this time.

I can't wait for models to take back the industry.:clap:

Guys, let's not forget she also landed the W cover a while back. That's another mainstream US publication that is hard for a model to land the cover of, especially a black (mixed raced) model. ;)

I really want Alt to surprise us with a VP cover! She hasn't had a single black PERSON front the mag. Joan would be a great first choice.

Joan is in Dallas right now with a bunch of other models. I think it's pretty safe to say that she's walking the Chanel pre-fall show tonight. :flower:
