^I'm actually glad she isn't a part of all this. I would rather be a supermodel with the freedom to do whatever I want as opposed to one of 15 angels with a strict contract (and probably a cheap one at that). Joan is really the one that is winning, not these new VS "angels." She is a supermodel in her own right & doesn't need VS in the slightest.

i agree. this latest crop seems rather green, as if they were looking for models who don't have much of a career outside of vs. joan has too much going on for that nonsense.

I have a feeling many of those 'Angels' won't even last long.
Joan is already an established Supermodel, why would she settle for what VS is offering these Angels.
What Victoria's Secret needed to do was edit the Angel lineup, bring in the big guns like Joan with Mega Angel contracts, but whatever.

Exactly. Someone in the VS thread said that Joan was allegedly offered a contract but turned it down. I wouldn't be surprised if she heard about the other 10 girls being signed & backed out due to lack of prestige behind the new contracts. VS is becoming more & more of a joke each passing day. I'm so glad that Joan & her management team were smart enough to pass on this ridiculous offer (if true).

On to more positive news, I think that job in LA with Karlie is definitely being shot by Testino. Male supermodels Sean Opry & Andres Velencoso are also involved. It could be an American Vogue editorial, but I really hope it's a campaign! Fingers crossed.

I'd say that VS is making a pretty clear decision with this roster of Angels. they're planning on developing these girls and turning them into stars the way they did with Adriana/Ale/Miranda/Candice, etc. An already established legit supermodel like Joan just wouldn't make sense in that lineup whatsoever. So it's not surprising to me in the slightest that she isn't there. I'm sure she'll still work for them occasionally (they pay really well and it's not a bad gig, is it?) and she'll still do the VSFS. But she really doesn't need the Angel contract. not when it's like this.
