I'm glad to hear Jodie mention Cydney and see them photographed together every once in a while. I also rather like seeing that Jodie is not intimidated into wearing a new outfit for every event. We can't wear something new every time we go out in public, why should actress have to do it?
I don't think that Jodie is particularly interested in making any sort of a statement with her clothing. She seems to use clothes in a "supporting role," in a way to enhance her professional status. Which is fine. Jodie's made the decision that when she's making a public appearance and when she's being interviewd, it's about her work and her conservative style is one way she keep her personal life private.
