FORMER Riverview students Jordan and Zach Stenmark have become sought-after male models after opening and closing the prestigious Calvin Klein show during Milan Men’s Fashion Week this month.
Despite starting their modelling career only eight months ago, the international media is hailing them as the next big thing.
Dad Damien Stenmark said it had been an “extraordinary journey” for the Mosman family.
“We never dreamed this would happen,” he said.
Last year the Stenmark twins, who turn 20 in March, were encouraged by a friend to visit a few modelling agencies.
The first one - Vivien’s Model Management - signed them up, and they are now with seven agencies around the world.
Their dad said it was “a far cry” from working part-time in a coffee shop to earn extra money while studying agricultural economics at Sydney University.
He and wife Susie Stenmark, who modelled in the ‘80s, co-ordinate contracts and book accommodation for their globetrotting sons and have just returned from helping the twins settle in Paris.
“Sure, it can appear super-glamorous but they work really hard and are so committed,” Mr Stenmark said. “They’re keeping a fit body and a fit mind, eat well, sleep well. They’re well-grounded boys.”
