Jordan and Zac Stenmark

^ Too bad they didn't pass the casting. It'd be awesome if four of them walk together at the finale

Australian model twins Jordan and Zach Stenmark blog for GQ direct from Milan men's fashion week. The twins reveal all about their castings and fashion week experiences in Milan

Crazy week, travelling from London to Paris to Barcelona to Paris then back to London – and now we’re in Milan. We’ll be staying in a funky hotel right near the cathedral. By chance we bumped into a couple of friends from home who are off to Sicily for their wedding.

Castings - Day One

We woke to 38 degrees and sunny… loving it. Why didn’t we bring more shorts with us? After travelling from the middle of a Sydney winter we totally didn’t expect this temperature!

Later on we caught up with the awesome guys from d’man -- our agents Max and Simon -- and straight away off we went to our first castings including Calvin Klein, Zegna and Armani.

It was great to see the guys from CK again and they were really happy to see us back. We discussed the theme of the show and checked out some of the designs. They took a few measurements and we arranged to see each other in a few days. Who knew – we bumped into them at dinner that night at Giacomo Arengario, Milan’s new must-go restaurant, while we were out with our friends from home!

Zegna was our next casting. Unfortunately they said we were too big for the collection, but it was worth a try. Armani was the biggest wait, every male in Milan seemed to be there – even some guys who weren’t even models. Joke! We arrived early and were waiting in the showroom when Mr Armani himself walked in. All the boys moved like a parting sea to let him pass. Although there were so many models at the casting, they sped through them all fairly quickly.

Castings - Day Two

We had two castings call back, one of them from CK!. We love seeing those guys, they’re a great team to work with, so welcoming and really friendly. They create such a family aspect to the whole experience. Can’t wait for the show!

Castings - Day Three

We had two castings to begin with, but then Max said he was able to get us in to see Versace. Usually they try not to use the same boys as CK, but it went really well.

Castings - Day Four

We had three castings, one of which was Dsquared where we met the designers who are also identical twins! We had a really twinny moment when the younger one asked Jordan (who’s also the young one): “Are you the younger twin?” Twins can always tell!

Castings - Day Five

A long day. The fittings for Calvin Klein took until two in the morning, but it was a great part of the whole process. Everyone’s starting to hype up for tomorrow’s show. We must send the link home so our family can watch the live stream on CKTV in Australia like they did last season. We’ll keep your posted, but now we’ve got to rush back to our hotel for a quick night’s sleep before the show tomorrow.

^ I really adore these two, they always look so happy to do the job. It's a shame they don't work that much because they're good models. But I can understand why they're big for some designers :(
