Meaning that we should have birkins in different sizes, colours and versions for different outfits!hermes_lemming said:You know... I've concluded that those bags are definitely individualistic. Some consider them (birkins in general - regardless of old or new style) to be fugly or downright grandma-ish. Others love the classic style while some prefer the updated JPG version. It's whatever suits you...
I personally had the good fortune to adore two today - interestingly enough at the shoe department of my local Neiman Marcus. The first was a classic 35cm gold birkin w/ gold hardware. The second was Swank's dream bag - the pumpkin orange w/ silver hardware. And believe or not, both owners seem to be the same age range - late twenties, early thirties - looking quite chic!
The JPG one is not too big, much much better than the classic birkins in 40cm and 45cm.starlite said:As I was entering my local Hermes store there was a girl leaving the store with a orange JPG on her shoulder. Now this girl was asian and quite small, but the bag she had did not look big on her at all. Perhaps she has a smaller version. It definately was not the size in the pics posted before.
I love carrying bags on my shoulders so I can keep my hands free ...while shopping etc but I think I'd still prefer the classic birkin. The JPG is still a nice bag though.
I've seen one in a gold or cognac color (box leather) with the bottom half done in woven or braided leather...that looked good to me.

Btw, I wear my classic ones on my shoulder, and they fit perfect.

hermes_lemming, your rouge birkin is gorgeous!!
