Julie de Libran Haute Couture F/W 2021.22 Paris

Is it so bad it's good?
The jasmine vine in the background is really quite beautiful.

I just saw Diet Prada are criticising the finishing or the clothes :innocent:

The pink dress with the kitten mules is such a great! Given that it’s « Couture », I would probably have it in a deep Chocolate tones…

I think on paper, her approach to Couture can be refreshing. This idea of everyday clothes (mostly daywear), easy to wear…More about targeting an everyday bourgeois customer than your International Couture clientele.

The problem is that the proposition is just a mess. It’s boring, it lacks imagination and even if it’s not « Haute Couture », it doesn’t even deserve the « Couture ».

Nothing feels elevated! You go to Uniqlo or any RTW brand and will find better things.

Her work for Vuitton was far more impressive than anything she has done for her own brand. And remember that she was only in charge of the precollections…
