no Julius is more high street fashion, and fairly lean figure required. there are still many good gothic chic brands other than Rick Owens and Gareth Pugh.

Not only has Rick Owens done of all this (diffusion lines included) but he has done this so much better.

I've always given Julius the benefit of the doubt thinking that the customer base who shops Rick Owens is wealthy and bored enough to need another label like Julius to give alternative. But this is no alternative, this is the same damn thing. I understand if that's their business model but they could have at least made an attempt to differentiate themselves with their presentation.

^ apparently I'm biased, cause I do love Julius for years now. and I really don't think about Rick Owens while looking at their collections.

Some pieces do appear to have the same aesthetic as Rick Owens, granted, but I have believed in their aesthetic since that incredible collection they showed a year or two ago in the wonderful draped shades of red. And I agree with Pricciao about the silhouette being a lot leaner than Rick Owens; the jackets buttoning only at the chest with the high armholes is a unique silhouette.
