This is a very solid effort, to the extent that it bores me because it's just too perfect. The tailoring is outstanding, no doubt. And had the impeccable cuts and fits been the main focus (in a Jil sander kind of way) I would probably have enjoyed this much more. I actually find all the design-y, trendy elements here somewhat distracting. All the simple outfits are much stronger and way more impressive than the feathery and furry stuff. If this was a little less rigid I would be more forgiving of the gimmicky stuff, maybe. I guess I just find the concept of wearable Haute Couture here to be executed in an awkward way and it's not all that exciting to me, even if Bouchra usually does that really well.
