oh dear, it is Junya Watanabe, not Yamamoto. I don;t know what hapened that the title was incorrect! Mods, please change this. Thanks.

I thought it was too good to be true.
Got to see more, please.

Well...I've just seen the entire collection elsewhere...and I honestly not very impressed...and, I typically LOVE Junya Watanabe!!!

To me, this collection looks a bit "too" classic (if there is any such thing???)...and a bit too traditional. Obviously, this must've been Watanabe's intention.

It looks like he raided the archives of Brooks Brothers...added a few typical Comme Des Garcon twists...like the colorful buttholes...the piping around the lapels and bottom of the jackets, etc. It looks like Brooks Brothers...but the proportions have been shrunken-down and made a bit more fitted.

This collection pales in comparrison to the 2004 Fall collection. The fabrics for that collection were a bit more interesting.....like fabric that look like tapestry and furniture upholtery...and the use of darting/pintucking in the elbows and knees were a bit more explorative.

I won't dismiss this collection by saying I don't like it....maybe I was just expecting something a bit more unusual from Watanabe. Oh well??!!

the petite tailoring looks like what all the balenciaga-jacket-(men)fans have been waiting for!

i'd like jackets a little bit longer

Such a quintessentially English vibe.

I quite like it though it does appear - at times - a little restrained.

^i feel the english vibe too

also feeling like i think it was, s/s 08

is he normally like this
kind of Paul Smith
new direction i suppose

i think it is absolutely adorable...

i agree with all the english paul smith brooks bros comparisons etc...

i just don't have any problem with it...
i think it's super cute!...

yes it's a very sweet look for a guy
much more than marni

what is this?

i'm not feeling this season.

f/w07/8 was AMAZING! that biker look is something i secretly love .s/s08 was gorgeous. the tailoring and the pants mmm....and then....for fall......hmm. not feeling it. He's my number one.

it is super cute, very dapper. it seems that now I can wear Junya Man and it won't overwhelm me. the navy wool blazer with the red and blue trim is so sweet. I could see wearing that jacket with a cropped khaki marant pant.

woops, this is for the guys right....lucky you if you are small framed.

To me, the inspiration comes from 1930s Hollywood Charlie Chaplin. Love the hats and colorful argyle socks!

my greedy thoughts exactly...I would love to wear a lot of this stuff.

The jacket with the piping is adorable, and reminds me a bit of some of the navy Y's jackets from fall.
