If you took away the fact that Kaia is probably smaller than the sample size and she has no pimples - what on earth makes this proportionally challenged (in body and face, let’s be real) girl ‘model of the year’?

She's shorter than most models, but other than that, I don't see how she's "proportionally challenged"

She has the stature of a child, most clothes on the runway seem to overwhelm her
Her eyes are extremely narrow-set, and the rest of her face appears pinched inward - which makes finding a good angle for her face very difficult. That, and she has a very small head to begin with
Kaia’s shoulders are also quite wide, yet her waist and hips have zero definition - which makes her appear very top heavy. Especially when combined with the fact she’s not flat chested
She just looks really unbalanced for a model - a profession in which you get paid to photograph better than the average human

The whole family looks amazing at the London Fashion Awards.
As far as her proportions, she seems fine, she's tall and petite enough to be a model, plus her face is very pretty even if small. I just noticed the wide torso but as a model she'll have to figure out how to work with that, won't be a big deal. It feels a bit weird though, just realized she's still 17 years old and evaluating her body. She still has some growing to do.

Not many girls are late bloomers. 17 is already pretty late for a teenage to grow. I've never known a girl that grew (bone wise) past 16, that is just wishful thinking from mother agents. Sure certain health conditions and malnutrition affect the growing of a teenager, but her mother is very clear about how her daughter is super duper healthy (if she's being honest or if she's just sniffing that money and fame, that's another story).
I don't believe she will grow. Her face will mature and she might gain a few hip inches if she lets her body do its thing but growing is very unlikely. Just remember the Jenners and the Hadids, they already looked pretty womanly by the time they reached 17.
I agree that her body proportions (I don't see anything wrong with her face besides looking quite plain, tired and young) are uncommon, to put it mildly. I knew a girl in college with the exact same body type: petite, broad shoulders, small head, always looked tired, her eye balls sunken in these deep dark circles. Poor girl...
Even though I don't love her look, I always admire how well-spoken she is and the fact that she seems to have a very good personality. She's mature and has depth.
Unfortunately I too find her features to be pinched inward, which always bothers me. I once saw someone wrote she looks like if Cindy's face were a Barbie face and you stuck a pin in the middle...lol can't undo that visual. IMO it's very accurate.
