karen's family should contact the new york post, daily news & other publications to report her missing.
the way that petra nemcova gleaned newspaper cover stories, full page coverage & huge headlines in the ny papers last week, petra became the most covered, symbolic single person to represent the entire mass of 100,000-500,000 people who died.

imo fashion message boards are not the smartest place to be asking for karen mulder sightings. her family should try to contact the real news media & maybe the relevant countries involved.
given the enormous coverage petra got in usa, karen, a much more famous model and singer and superstar in europe & usa, would get 10X the coverage of petra.
unless karen is just taking it easy in monaco or paris as she normally does. I do not know the answer, but fashion message boards are not a smart place to go looking. does that make sense?? I'm taking a wait & see attitude to this reported-story & will believe it when I raedc about it somewhere else than at a fashion message board.

I found the message on a Dutch news site with a message board for people who are looking for missing friends and family in Asia.
I only translated the message I found there since it's in Dutch. I'm not the one who posted the original message nor am I family of Karen.

The woman who posted the original message is a friend of Karen's mother Marijke.

Again, let me say that I don't know how reliable this message is but since it was posted on a board where a lot of desperate people are looking for any sign of life from their friends and family, I doubt someone would just be posting something like this without being serious.

In the message it only refers to Karen Mulder. occupation: model. Her mother's name is Marijke. There could be a different Karen Mulder who is a model who's mother is called Marijke but I don't think that seems very likely.

Let's just hope that Karen is alright. No matter what she has done or said in the past.

Update:

Apparently it is THE Karen Mulder that is missing in Thailand.

The message that was posted by her mother's friend on the NOS (Dutch news site) board has been removed because Karen's parents want to keep it quiet. The media in Holland respects their wishes and hasn't reported on it.

Update:

Radio Noordzee FM says Karen Mulder is alive and well in London.
They spoke to a friend of Karen's and he says that they did go to Thailand but that they flew back to London and are all safe and sound.
