Karl Lagerfeld vs. France..

London is far more vibrant than Paris.

I ive in Paris for over more than 10 years and I have never seen "The famous Parisienne" !
The Champs Elysées,which is supposed to be "the most beautiful avenue in the world" are full with McDonalds,Gaps & Virgin Megastores.

With this I can agree with Lagerfeld.
Nobody (men & women) in Paris dresses up,even for special occasions.

London & New York is way ahead !

^ Yes, that's true. For me Avenue Montaigne is quite essential of Parisian chick, nowhere else. Paris does not give a lot opportunities to young people, it's pretty cons. as well ( yes, yes). Other thing is in London, especially NYC!
