Her MET Gala look was just sooooooo boring.

Come on, Karlie! Take a risk sometime. She's got the stature and presence to pull off almost anything. But I feel like she's painted herself into this entirely conservative little corner. It's very limiting creatively.

I'm crying at what she's become. She was EVERYTHING before VS happened. I remember watching her opening/closing Dior, I would always get chills. Now when she's on the runways, it's just cringe. Her print work is a travesty too these days. Before she was like BAM in every photo, now it's just so cheesy. Idk if it's because she's reached a certain status now that photographers don't even push her anymore but it seems lazy on her side too. Let's not even start with the hair. She doesn't look fresh. She used to be exciting for me, now she's just blah.

I have to agree with most if not all of that ^
She's become so irritatingly clean that she squeaks when she talks..
Her HF career pretty much evaporated into thin air several years ago, probably around the time she got involved with Victoria's Secret as you say.

She used to have so much finesse, in everything that she did, and it really came across, at least for me, on the runway. She'd appear and just, BOOM, that height and that panther-like strut and confidence. I have to say that although she's pulled her runway walk back a bit, she's still leaps and bounds ahead of anyone else, which is a testament to how great she is.

Her personal style, and this is being fair, is the absolute pits. It's like a mix of stay-at-home-Mom meets 45-year-old-divorcee. She's just become this package of commercialism with a goody-two-shoe image that is sooo boring.

Her look at the MET, I mean, Brandon Maxwell? Seriously? Could have her pick of absolutely any designer possible and.....him? She kept harping on about having to be stitched into that dress and, why? What difference did it actually make in the end? It was still an uninspiring black sheet.
She was a foot taller than anyone else on that carpet and should have, especially at her level of success, made an entrance

I've met her a few times in person and she is stunning! And I have to say that she's probably the most genuine and sweetest person in the industry, at least that i've ever met, but...damn girl! Where you at???

In my opinion, the problem is, she became too tall after the initial success but too bad it’s not her legs getting the growth, she was proportionally perfect at the beginning( about 6 feet?), but after just 2 years she grew too much, especially on the torso and looks too big for a high fashion model . And about career choice, on the contrary, VS is the best that could happen to her after Dior, she managed to become a commercial model without hiatus, and then from model to celebrity, it is a textbook case of career management.

I loved her in VS 2012. In that last segment, when they did a close up and she just gazed towards the camera, that was like damn. Then she became an angel and it's like she lost that extra something that made her stand out. I remember in her early VS days, even her VS catalogues have this energy to them that is alluring, then after that to now, her photos and the way she looks and the way she presents herself just become so-so, imo. Good for her that she followed the route of those fashion models turned big stars turned celeb. But I really think she has something special, and now she just looks like she's blending in. Nothing wrong with it, I just wish she got to maintain that ~power and passion~ that she seemed to possess then. Like still have that allure of a fashion star even if she's in a different phase in her career already. Though who knows what else could happen? She's still in her mid -20s.

I definitely miss her hf days and feel her allure has somewhat faded now, but I think its genuinely her choice. I think she's used her platform to cultivate a certain following and celebrity that means she doesn't have to rely on modelling so much anymore. While it is annoying hearing her constantly talking about kookies and koding she is at least using her platform for good. In the fashion industry, I think she holds a different position now - she sits FROW at the prestigious shows rather than walking them. This may not translate to campaigns, but she still does very well commercially with her contracts which is where her audience is based nowadays really. She's been quite smart, if grating.

^And another thing - she was the first real successful model I can remember to start doing the whole vlogging thing, and they're all seem to be at it now! She got in there early in terms of that I think

Although I wish she still had that allure of her HF days, I can respect that she is intelligent and using her platform for good, as opposed to becoming someone as brain-dead as Kendall.
