Adriana is being promoted because she's the best known to the general public. Also she's the fav among the general public, they gave her a solo spot on the super bowl and the hosting gig now the launch and party, she was on Gisele's back burner for a while and is now getting the recognition she deserves for being lead angel, it's about time Adriana got to do her lead Angel duties. Karolina does a lot of stuff all the time it's not going to hurt her to do just one thing this time![]()
she's been on 3 covers in the past month. Elle, Esquire and Vegas.
rock n roll KK! 2008 is starting strong!
plus -- she'll be cohosting the "What is Sexy?" Superbowl party with Selita and Adriana.
here's part of the blurb:
""Valentine's Day is an important holiday for the brand, and with this year's Super Bowl being positioned so close to Feb. 14, we had a unique opportunity to use one of the year's highest rated television programs as a vehicle to launch our efforts surrounding Valentine's Day," CMO Jill Beraud said.
The spot stars model Adriana Lima and will continue to run on the Victoria's Secret Web site after the Super Bowl telecast. The effort was crafted in-house.
The ad kicks off a series of marketing efforts, including a large party in Scottsdale, Ariz., on Super Bowl eve to fete the brand's "What Is Sexy?" list, hosted by Lima and fellow Victoria's Secret models Karolina Kurkova and Selita Ebanks. Victoria's Secret has also inked a deal with E! Studios and Ryan Seacrest Productions to create an hour-long TV special, Victoria's Secret: What Is Sexy? that will air on the E! channel Feb. 9. Lima will also serve as the host of that program."
Adriana is sure getting lots of promotional opportunities ... i understand that she's probably the most well-known of the Angels, but she's certainly not the best spokesperson. surely either Selita or KK would've been better choices. but i'm sure they'll get their turns as well.
