You know Adriana and Karolina have both received that honor this year...and both have been working for quite some time and both are the most famous angels VS has, and the most loved...but it seems like to me Vs just puts them on the back burner. With Marisa doing the tour and Miranda doing the 10 year angel exhibit I just think the two really get gypped out of a lot...Karolina would have been perfect for the swim tour...and Dri would have been perfect for the 10 year launch (considering she's been an angel for 8 years and working for them for 10) it just seems to me they have 2 of the biggest names in the industry and they don't use them like they could. I just hope the two get recognition this year like they deserve..I'm tired of seeing two of the best angels getting the scraps.

Now I'm not saying Miranda and Marisa don't deserve recognition and launches but a tour and something as big as the 10 year angels anniversary are huge things and to give them to the newest angels (Miranda has been one for 1 year, and Marisa for a few months) I think was a huge mistake.

I agree with you CC, but I guess VS wants Miranda and Marisa to have more coverage too. I dont understand why Marisa is an angel??? They should just use her for the catalog and not make an angel, she does not fit with the other classy models like KK or Lima or Ambrosio. I am surprised though, they dont even pay attention to Selita or Izabel, its like they dont exist for VS anymore. I wonder if they will fire these two and hire some new girls, maybe Doutzen and Emanuella De Paula, these two would be a better fit.

Anyway I am happy for KK, and although I am not really looking forward to her movie GI JOE, it will do wonders for her I am sure(as seen by Yahoo search) and I will only watch it for her.

I think at least partly why KK is not doing as much VS is that she's got other stuff going on, namely GI Joe.

BTW, when does Karolian's contract with VS end?

not for a while, i don't think. i'm pretty sure reading that when she signed, it was a 5-year contract. and that was in 2005, so she's got another 2 years at least with VS. i suspect she'll see her contract renewed, if she wants to stay with them.

I think some of the angels recently renewed I know Dri, was recently interviewed and said she had 5 years left, and she's been an angel since 2000. So I think Karolina who has only been an angel since 2005 will def get re-signed. No doubt in my mind.

cool. and re: your earlier post --- i completely agree, CC, that it's a bit odd for Miranda to be the one hawking the 10th Anniversary Angel line. you would think that that would be a big deal for VS and that it would warrant an ALL-GIRL promotional event. however, i am also one that believes that Miranda is going to be HUGE -- like household name huge, and evidently VS has their hopes set on this as well.

I'll never understand Marisa Miller. sure, she has an almost caricatured-like body. it looks like an exaggerated comic book drawing ... but her face -- meh. again though, i get it. it's swimsuit promotion. really the entire swim catalogue was basically her and Ale (*and Ale's preggers*). plus, it's about going to sporting events and all that -- Marisa is a gal that appeals to that red-blooded American man. and she's famous for swimsuits, due to her COVER of the SI issue this year. so, while personally, i don't see the attraction -- i can understand VS's perspective.

but she just doesn't have that "it" that the other Angels have, not in my opinion at least.

i love that her costume is different from all the other females. i'm thinking that she has a bigger role in this movie that i initially thought. (*here's hoping!*)
