Kate Bosworth to be Lois Lane!!

- you do sound rascist. white or black it really shouldn't matter if an actor/actress is good for the part. although i odn't think beyonce would have been very good at all.

- as for those concerned about the blond hair...um...have you ever heard of hair dye? but then, not like it really matters.

- thank you. i fully aggree. another pretty hollywood starlet with a stunning smile and not much talent. (much like kiera knightly who almost ruined Pirates of the Carribbean with her "acting") there are so many actresses with talent out there...why kate? why not someone like selma blair, scarlett johansson or maggie Gyllenhaal. obviously kirtsen dunst was out of the question after spiderman...but their are young hollywood actresses who are not so blatheringly dull as kate. even actresses with mediocre (but at least a modicum of) talents like natalie portman or reese whitherspoon would have been better.

sorry for blathering...but i have a penchant for comic book movies

Seeing as how you are a comic book fan, why don't you look at the superman comics and describe Lois Lane to me. Its not a racist comment to point out that a certain character from a CLASSIC comic book is white. Truth is that the majority of the super heros and damsels in distress were white. One of the only black comic book heros is Justice League's Martian Manhunter.

I'm not racist I'm just pointing out a fact. Lois Lane's character has ALWAYS been portrayed by a white woman from the comic books to the tv shows to the movies already made.

i'm not a comic book fan...i'm a comic book movie fan. rascist doesn't necessarily have negative connotations...there can be rascism without prejudice or feelings of superiority. in this case it is simply a judgement based on race. (and i don't know about the justice league but there is also the title charcacter from spawn who was a black male)

anyway, back to the topic at hand...kate bosworth...

on a more superficial note, her eyes freak me out.

they are really beautiful eyes. they just distract me. though maybe thats not a bad thing... it would be nice to have distracting eyes (unless of course it was beauce they were lazy or crosseyed)she is perfect for the revlon eyewear adds...its impossible to take your eyes of hers

Storm from Marvel Legends is also black...played by Halle Berry in the Xmen movies

How can you say that? Racist is a negative word. Always has and always will. Look up the meaning of racist before you say it doesn't have negative connotations. most "isms" are negative.

But back to the topic:

I love Kate's eyes. They fascinate me. I've loved them ever since I saw her in blue crush.

she's kind of the new IT girl in hollywood isn't she... used to be Natalie Portman, before her Kirsten Dunst

kinda funny

^ I wouldn't go as far as saying she's the new IT girl, I mean, she hadn't had a single hit movie.

Let's keep this away from a race debate please  :flower:

fyi: ^_^

the guy from spawn played on the biographical movie "Tyson" in '95, well i think you know which fallen tyson (champ:rolleyes: ) they did the movie on

Ewwww, Beyonce would have ruined the whole movie.

I would personnally have prefered to see someone else with brown hair carry on the role (someone with a strong look, not too feminine).

I think it depends on how they are planning to carry out the movie. In Spiderman, J. Jonah Jameson had that old timer comedic feel to him... are they planning on making it a true drama/chick flick or will it have an old time comedy feel? Charisma Carpenter would do well if it had a flair of comedy to it. She is also familiar with the territory of that sort of story line.

It did, but to be a Hollywood "IT" girl, you need at least ONE Blockbuster hit.

Well I wouldn't call her an 'It' girl, not yet anyway...

george reeves

kate's real cute but it's all about noell neill & phyllis coates.

I would like to see more brown girls in movies. Indian and Arab... I can't even think of any! :(

What I don't get is how Beyonce could have even been considered in the first place??

Yeah right..?? Unless they visualised an ethnic-mix cast for the characters in the script. That would be quite intriguing...:zorro:
