Postcards from Glastonbury: Kate and Pete Have Laundry Service and a Helicopter

glasto%20girls.jpg

"Hey Faranista,
Glastonbury is still a muddy mess. It's not glamorous at all! You Americans are so obsessed...
I've been on the lookout for any girl in a Stella McCartney for Oxfam t-shirt and I haven't seen a single one - though it may have been coated in mud. Will keep looking.
As for Kate and Pete, yes, it is very easy to see them. They are staying in a giant trailer down the road from the press tent. VIPs can rent the trailers for the entire festival. They cost 6000 pounds and they come with electricity and internet and someone comes round to do your laundry for you every day. And then a helicopter comes to take you from the camping site to the festival grounds. I'm not kidding.
Pete keeps riding his bicycle up and down the road here. It's sort of irritating, but you would love it.
As for actual Glastonbury fashion, here's a photo of what most people are dressed like.
More soon - and read The Daily Mail tomorrow to see more of my photos!

I think those PVC pants should be worn extremly fitted, and more like tights rather than pants. Also, Kate is not the only one who'd look good in those, come on! in this thread people are always saying that about any outfit, I can think of tons of (more or less skinny) people who would pull them off perfectly, famous and non-famous, and even a couple of my firends.
Looking best in the Glasto set: Drew

I really like Kate's outfit tho. I must get myself a cape for autumn

Kate looks ridiculous at the festival. C'mon high heeled boots at Glastonbury?

Well I think Kate looks A-M-A-Z-I-N-G at Glastonbury!
Yeah it's kinda crazy she's wearing heels but for God's sake, it's Kate Moss!
And those leggins or I don't know what they are look seriously HOT!(in both meanings)
Even though her previous outfits (the years before) were slightly better I still like this one, not the first one though with her black skirt.
It seems to me Kate always has to go Rock 'n Roll when she's going to a festival (I know, I know, it is Rock) but her style lately has been more classic and elegant than Rockish, so I like it!!! :)
But she does look waaay too skinny :(

No muddy tent for Moss

By Andrew Westbrook
The mud has taken centre stage at Glastonbury Festival once again, but Croydon supermodel Kate Moss needn't worry about escaping the swamp - she can just head back to her £50,000 motorhome.
The 33-year-old has joined 180,000 other revellers at the Somerset event to support her boyfriend Pete Doherty, whose band Babyshambles played the Other Stage yesterday evening.

Dressed all in black, with knee-high boots and PVC trousers, Moss could be seen dancing by the side of the stage for most of his performance.
She ran centre stage at one point to plant a kiss on her boyfriend, before returning at the end of the set to help sing the last few lines of La Belle Et La Bete which Doherty wrote about her.
The troubled frontman then ended with the words "I'd like to thank our very special guest, Miss Moss". The celebrity couple had earlier arrived at the summer's biggest festival in their luxury chauffeur-driven motorhome, having spent the journey quaffing champagne.

Songbird Kate joins Pete to serenade the Glastonbury thousands

Supermodel Kate Moss added some glamour to Glastonbury when she joined her on-off boyfriend Peter Doherty on the other stage during Babyshambles' evening set.
A huge roar of approval went up as she gave Doherty a kiss on the lips during La Belle De La Bete, before singing a few lines from the song.

The couple also took in some of the sights of Europe's biggest festival. The ever-stylish Kate made no concession to the muddy conditions as she stuck to her knee-length leather boots.

Kate Moss and pete Doherty

SHE MOSS BE FUMING
KATE Moss had a public row with boyfriend Pete Doherty in the backstage VIP bar.
I saw her drag him out of the bar at midnight on Friday, telling him to behave or he'd look stupid.
She took his drink, threw it over the floor and stormed to their trailer.

Kate is out in the cold

24/06/07
KATE Moss and Amy Winehouse had to rough it in the mud at Glastonbury after missing out on digs in the swanky VIP area.

The model and lover Pete Doherty enjoyed a wild time in the £9,000-a-weekend Paradise Lost trailer park two years ago. They were hoping to snuggle up in one of the luxury silver trailers for a sizzling night of love while the rest of Glasto’s hardy revellers braved the cold and mud. But they, as well as Amy, 23, and new husband Blake Fielder-Civil, 24, missed out after scores of other moneybags revellers got there first – leaving them locked out in the cold.

A source at the park, which is situated in the Lost Vagueness area of the festival, said: “Kate and Pete had a great time two years ago and were looking forward to a repeat. But because of the way things were going with the weather they got booked up really early. “They ended up going back to their draughty old camper vans in the backstage area – but they saw the funny side. “They had a cold night of it but made sure they partied a bit before they turned in so they were that bit warmer.”

The trailer park is described as being Ritz-style accommodation in a field. Guests, including members of the Scissor Sisters, can stay in huts at £1,500 for the weekend or 1940s chrome-panelled Airstream trailers for £6,000 to £9,000. Each guest is treated to a 24-hour butler service which will deliver anything from burgers to champagne.

They have hot showers and clean loos, plus a personal cabaret and unlimited VIP access in the Lost Vagueness area. Instead Kate and Pete, whose band Babyshambles played last night, joined hundreds partying at a fancy-dress in the Ballroom Bar.
