New York state of mind: Kate Moss was spotted shopping in SoHo

I didn't really think they were cowboy boots immediatly, when I think cowboy boots, I think Britney's cowboy boots or the one Jessica Simpson wore in Dukes of Hazzard...they look like a very toned version of them...and maybe she changed her mind...

i don't even think there's anything particularly wrong with snazzier cowboy boots. i just think it has to do with the authenticity of the person, if they understand what they are wearing (i.e. the message and possible references) or are just following a trend. i think Kate looks great in hers, but i was very confused as to why she was so quick to paint a broad stroke. literally, i remember standing there non-plussed for a few minutes when I read the vanity fair.

all i mean to suggest is that a true maverick would not care what others are doing or if she is being copied (because she would realize that it's her personality that makes the clothes, not the clothes her personality). so, i can't imagine there being any "yes" or "no" lists.

personally i love cowboy boots.

her skinny jeans these days don't seem to fit well. they seem to sag in the wrong places

I think that cowboy boots are gross in general. I do like hers because they are toned down and the heel is better than most cowboy boots. The heel on other cowboy boots are just awkward. Also, the height of your average cowboy boots does not look good on average girls, esp with any meat on them. They just make girls look like they have cankles.
Kate's are lower height and lower heel, and not as tough of leather.
As someone once stated in here, I don't think kate really cares whether her jeans fit exactly, she is rock and roll. She might like it to slouch a little.
I think her weight just fluctuates so much. But I can't talk about that here.

I think her boots are very western style....
but I do not know if I would go as far to call them cowboy boots.
i never saw the pic of kate with red lips and wavy hair. love the hair!

Either have I.... I love it!
Does anyone know anything about it?...
When it was taken? Are there more?

^Yes there were...a few pages back somewhere, from the other night...she was going to a wedding party, with leopard coat, right? But I don't think she was wearing much red lipstick at the time those HQ's were taken...

Thanks for posting.
Like what i can see of the outfit...lila is totally cute as always

I am looking for a site that has tons of kate editorial scans from the 90s-specifically 97 to 91, especially her american harpers bazaar stuffl. I would be grateful for any links!

scriptgirl, you can try herfamedgoodlooks.com, under archives>>kate moss. they have harper's covers, so pretty sure they will also have the editorials.

i have that rag and bone coat she's wearing in the pic with lila, love it!

There's that shag rug coat again in #20304. I'm sorry but I can't stand those weird, short and wide sleeves.

Actually, there are two basic styles of cowboy boots, western and roper. Ropers are mainly used for work and westerns for riding. The heel of the western style is tall to prevent the foot from sliding through the stirrup, which could result in the rider becoming unseated and possibly sustaining life-threatening injuries. Come on, let's remember that cowboy boots are not just fashion items!
