It's not a matter of affording (not that I am rolling in riches), but of justifying! First, I was like, OK, it must be cashmere. Then I find out it's merino wool, not really limited edition, and then the extra pounds sterling.

I don't know when I will get it, if I do decide, because their email response is patchy. I don't know if 200GBP includes shipping to the US, nor have they confirmed they have my size.

Anyways, here is a pix of Arielle Dombasle in the sweater, and if any of you guys want to take my spot on the Ginsberg wait list, please PM me.

tylw that is exactly how i would have justified it myself! although that is the avg price...it is still not the greatest wool...and i highly doubt 200GBP includes shipping. plus duty!

Tylw i was very close to getting the jumper myself i couple of years back, one of the girls even emailed from Freud a few times ensuring i got the details.. But i went against it once i worked out the exchange rate and that it was black. It was 185 pounds back in 2005 so i guess the upside is that the price didnt go up much!!! Its hard having said all that i think i may want one again! ha ha

I did think the price was ridiculous so I got a copy off ebay which I posted on this thread months and months ago, and I'm glad I didn't over spend on it.

was it a t-shirt or sweater? i've read there are t-shirts in south korea with "godard is dog."

and of course, i'd divide the total price by how many times i'd where it in a year, and only if it came under some magic number would i buy.
