LONDON, July 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Following its confirmation of Kate Moss as the face and spokesperson of Rimmel London, Coty Inc. is pleased & excited to announce the signing of Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Lily Cole to appear alongside Kate Moss as faces of Rimmel in view of the extraordinary growth of the Rimmel London brand worldwide, especially in the US and in Asia.
Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Lily Cole represent two visions of modern British beauty. Singer and songwriter Sophie, one of the country's most exciting musical talents, is already well-known for her creative use of makeup, while flame-haired Lily is currently juggling international modelling assignments with studies at Cambridge University and a promising acting career.
With their background in music, modelling and acting, Rimmel brings two new and differing personalities to the brand. These two talented women will broaden Rimmel's appeal even further by reaching out and engaging more closely with consumers.

A Londoner born and bred, singer songwriter Sophie Ellis-Bextor emerged as an exciting new talent with the indie band The Audience in 1997. After the band split, Sophie collaborated with DJ Spiller, adding vocals to his instrumental club track Groovejet. Groovejet (If this Ain't Love) entered the UK charts at No.1. In 2001, Sophie released her first solo album, Read My Lips, which sold more than two million copies worldwide. It was followed by Shoot from the Hip in 2003 and Trip the Light Fantastic in 2007. Her fourth album will be released early next year, with singles towards the end of this. Away from the dance floor, Sophie Ellis-Bextor is married to Richard Jones, bassist with The Feeling, with whom she had a baby boy, Sonny, in 2004.
Lily Cole
Lily Cole is one of the iconic faces of her generation. Born in 1988, she was spotted by Storm walking through Soho six years ago. Since then her modelling career has consistently defied the norms. She became the youngest model to grace the cover of British Vogue at 16 and has worked with the most prestigious international magazines and designers. She devotes much of her spare time to ethical causes and has lent real support to several charities including Wateraid and The Ethical Justice Foundation. Lily has just finished working with Oscar nominated film director Terry Gilliam as the female lead in the Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus - she debuted in last year's remake of St Trinian's. Most recently she finished work on her third film - Rage, directed by Sally Potter and starring Dame Judi Dench and Jude Law. Her new films are to be released next year.
