Where do you get inspiration for your Topshop collection?

Doesn't she mean her closet?
I thought her Topshop line was famous for being reworked verisons of things she already owns?

She is getting it wrong on so many levels in NYC.

Did any TFSers go see her at the opening?

^^ Yeah I know what you mean, god knows why she said her imagination, because like you said brokenenglish it's famous for being reworked versions of items in her own closet.

She's said before she gets her ideas from things she finds in Vintage and thrift stores. It's still a great collection either way

Also I love the relationship she has with Phillip Green, it's very father and daughter, you can tell he cares about her a lot I think, it's not just purely business.

All the new outfits look cheap and absolutely not stylish to me – but on the other hand I can't stop looking at this forum, I still hope that I'll get to see some interesting pictures with an inspiring Kate ... She should stop this Topshop-thing, she looks like a cheap copy of herself.

she doesn wear just topshop, she was always known for mixing expensive with not so much expensive pieces...and if something is cheaper doesn't mean it doesn't have quality...and you can't deny it looks nice, materials look quite gorgeous and nicley done...

for me i can't seem to differentiate between any of her TS collections, everything kind of looks the same. all the dresses are always cut exactly the same, the only thing that changes are the mediocre patterns. i find that the problem with buying/wearing anything from her collection is that you will WITHOUT A DOUBT bump into someone wearing the exact same thing

^ Well that's pretty much true of anything from the high street.

I do hate Kate's Topshop collections mostly, but then I hate about 80% of the stuff Topshop sells in general. Every once in a while they make a nice piece (especially the shoes) but usually they're too busy being "edgy" to make anything flattering and wearable.

it's true..i don't like the idea of everyone looking the same and just running there in the store and buying loads of stuff, wich i would never do...i would buy maybe couple of items cause every collection has few really great pieces that look just great and are copies from older designer collections or similar ones just with a kate twist....
