oh, god, ***EDIT***.as someone said, it's like a gig, job, she's trying to act as the girl on the picture on the plane, as pamela did...and she has worn short tight outfits so many times before, on catwalks, on candids, during vacations...so probabaly didn't think this would shock anyone...she looks great and it fits her well...what would you have her where there..and she's a friend of richard so long, he probably asked to wear something like that to match that signature red logo and pic for virgin...but, no...just always slam kate every chance you get, just because it's kate, even when there's no objective reason...so annoying!

The red thing doesn't fit her well: her breasts and armpits are all smashed in this outfit for instance. Yes, you are right. She has worn short tight outfits BEFORE, however nowdays it would be better not to.
I used to love Kate's style and I have never commented it without trying to argument my thoughts.

many of those who are criticizing here are people who frequently praise her to the skies. i think no one is criticizing because it's kate - quite the opposite, actually... most are disappointed because that's not what they would like to see from her.

It would seem that people don't like the exposure-excuse the pun-she is getting by taking on these high profile gigs, but she is building a brand! Kate will not be able to model forever and it seems obvious that she is trying to establish herself as a business woman and that means that she has to diversify.
She can't be 2005 Kate forever.

It's not just this one outfit, she's been dressing (in mine and other's opinions) poorly for some time now. And what about the orange skin and cheap hair? I'm almost expecting Kate to start having work done on her face at this point.

yes, probably because i come here as a fan of her hers and you come as a comentator only wich is also fine...***EDIT***...many times i've comented some of her outfits and candids as 'not the best', 'she could've done it better' etc...***EDIT*** i'm not gonna justify myself for loving her clothes and her personality, for wich she is really one of my favourite public people with few others...wonder how your style looks if you consider kate's style awfull

ok so she doesnt look great, but you have to realize you can't criticise her look as this isn't her OWN personal style. this is a PAID photo op, this is a gig for her, she was paid to wear that and promote the virgin airline same as pamela was in 2005. this wouldn't be her own choice...if you look at her personal style you can see that, regardless of how good or baf she looks.

I disagree. She is wealthy and successful enough to be selective in the jobs she does. She doesn't have to take tacky things like this on, and I don't think the Kate of a few years ago would have done it. It's not about unnecessarily harking back to 'the good old days' but I'm not sure she realises how much damage things like this - not to mention her bad dress sense - are doing to her brand, which is based on effortless cool, style and mystique (suffice to say, all things this Virgin exploit and other recent sartorial embarrassments have lacked).

I think she could plan her long-term future with more careful consideration rather than snapping up whatever gets thrown her way. Even if she is aging her longevity would be increased by careful protection of the things that made her so successful in the first place, rather than blatantly selling out in a last ditch attempt to capitalise on her past modelling success.

I'm not saying this to be pointlessly spiteful, but I just find it rather confusing as a fan for her to be going about things in what seems to me to be a rather counterproductive way.
