My secret affair with Kate Moss, by Italy's Prince Emanuele Filiberto
on 14th January 2010

She has dated Hollywood stars,and musicians during her many years in the public eye.
But now, in perhaps her most bizarre liaison yet, it has been claimed that model Kate Moss even enjoyed a romance with Royalty.
Prince Emanuele Filiberto, son of the heir to the now defunct Italian throne, yesterday claimed he had a six-month affair with Miss Moss - who will celebrate her 36th birthday on Saturday - in 2001 and 2002.
The Prince, a 37-year-old hedge fund manager, told how Sixties star Marianne Faithfull brought the pair together, by taking Miss Moss to Filiberto’s house on the Mediterranean island of Corsica.

The romance took place after her break-up from Pirates Of The Caribbean actor Johnny Depp but before she started dating heroin addict Pete Doherty.
However, last night questions remained over the Prince's claims because Miss Moss only gave birth to her daughter Lila Grace - with former magazine executive Jefferson Hack - in September 2002.
They dated for more than three years before breaking up in 2004.
A spokesman for Kate had no comment on the claim.
The Prince, who is now married to French actress Clotilde Courau, claimed: ‘Before meeting Clotilde, I had a lot of fun.
‘About eight years ago, I had a relationship [with Kate Moss] and it lasted six months.
‘Then our relationship ended because that's how things go but I remember her as a very passionate lady.

‘She is a beautiful woman, very charming and not at all bizarre. She came to my house in Corsica because she had been invited by our mutual friend Marianne Faithfull.’
He continued: ‘She was only supposed to stay three days but in the end she stayed three weeks. I even wrote a song for her with Marianne called The Pleasure Song, which was always about love.’
Prince Filiberto is the only child of Vittorio Emanuele, Prince of Naples, heir to the now defunct throne of Italy.
The family were exiled from the country for 50 years, only being allowed to return to in 2002.
Speaking to the Daily Mail yesterday, the Prince explained why their romance had not come to light at the time.
He said their relationship had been a ‘secret’ romance in which they made sure they were never photographed together.
He also revealed he is no longer in contact with Miss Moss but still remains friends with Miss Faithfull , who he sees regularly in French capital Paris.
Prince Filiberto has become a major TV personality in Italy since his family were allowed to return to the country.
The father-of-two has appeared on Ballando Con Le Stelle, Italy’s version of Strictly Come Dancing, winning the competition last year
Prince Filiberto has had problems with d***s and confessed last year that he only managed to overcome his addiction with the help of his family.
Miss Moss has been dating Jamie Hince, 40, from rock band The Kills for more than two years. They came back from a holiday in Phuket, Thailand last week.

Kate Moss Now Designing Line of Handbags for Longchamp

Kate Moss, face of Longchamp for the past four years — until this season, when Sasha Pivovarova took over — is now working with the label in another capacity: she's developing a line of signature handbags for the brand.

Moss worked with Longchamp artistic director Sophie Delafontaine on the Kate Moss for Longchamp collection, set to arrive in the brand's boutiques and select department stores beginning Feb. 11. The collection is not a one-off — it's understood to be a longterm contract, with two collections per year.

From Topshop to Longchamp isn’t a bad trajectory.

Kate Moss has been secretly designing a line of handbags for the French brand with Longchamp’s artistic director Sophie Delafontaine; they’ll debut in Longchamp stores on February 11th according to WWD.

The British supermodel’s been the face of the French house for four years already, and French Elle reports that she’ll continue to design two collections a year for an undisclosed period of time, though sources say the contract’s long term.

Why it’s taken this long for her to work on product for a house she represents, who knows? But we hope it leads to more collaborative work in the future.
