Makes me feel nostalgic...

I absolutely adore those photos by Juergen Teller!!!!!
Kate looks freaking amazing and I really like the way pictures have been taken.
Is that little gir in THIS picture Lila...?
Also, those ID covers are fab, especially the first one from 1993.

I love the whole mood of pictures taken by Juergen Teller, but oh dear, in some of the pics, Kate looks sick, and in a bad way.
It seems like the photographer wanted to achieve this *super chic* look, probably inspired by Janis Joplin personality.

and seeing those old pictures of Kate, I must say she looked fantastic when she was dark brunette.

^ i love seeing new photos of kate, but i don't understand why the public has to be tortured by juergen teller's inability to pass photography 101. couldn't someone more capable of photography take the pictures? perhaps any 3 year old. . .

What I like about these photographs by Teller is that Kate looks so effortless and easy - compared to other pictures for magazines or campaigns, where she only shows one facial expression.

Love the Teller pics.

And thanks for all the I-D covers, I love all of them except for the two newest ones.

YES. The photos are brilliant!!
and that is little Lila:heart:

i adore kate's i-d covers. i like how the mag uses different photographers and not just the same one or two like vogue.

Hi Lunabella... I have not been here for a very long time... but I was intrigued by what you said above and the comments that followed...

This comes from a very fast search of mine on the web, because i didn't want to just say my point of view regarding teller's work...

However,

"his work epitomises the shift away from the cosmetic perfection
of the 1980s towards a much rawer, apparently spontaneous look,
the models are portrayed (claudia schiffer and kate moss to
name but two), placing them in a private setting, far from the
world of glamour.

he points out the slight physical 'imperfections'
that constitute each model's unique form of beauty.
alongside contemporaries corinne day, david sims and
nigel shafran, he has been credited with changing the face
of fashion photography, away from the slick surfaces and
impossible gloss of the 80s, to a more authentic realism
for the 90."

(from designboom.com)

So, it's understandable that on a personal level you guys (and many others, i'm sure) may not like his work, but your comments seem to be missing its point...
