AN AYLESBURY hairdresser landed one of the biggest jobs in the business last week – styling Kate Moss’s golden locks.
Amie Bentley, 27, a creative designer at Tramps in Bedgrove, put in extensions, blow-dried and styled the supermodel’s hair for a fashion photo shoot in London.
She got the chance after Tramps won a national contest run by John Frieda to raise the most money for Great Ormond Street Hospital.
She said: “It was wicked, it was mad. It was quite scary but once she walked in the room, it was alright.
“She was very nice. I was a bit worried because people there said you can’t speak to her, you have to be spoken to.
“But she was very nice, really lovely, and we spoke a lot.
“I was quite shocked how short she is, she’s the same height as me. She is beautiful.”
Amie helped style Moss’s hair to make it look naturally messy and ‘rock chic’.
While the shoot was going on, she helped spray her hair and touch it up.
She said Tramps’ clients were impressed by her celebrity work.
“I came back to the salon in the afternoon and a lady there said: ‘Quickly, touch my hair so I can say the girl who touched Kate Moss touched my hair’.”
