To me there's something really silly and pretentious in paying a small fortune for a shirt you could get in any thrift store... (even if it was gifted to her) It seems so not Kate. And isn't Balmain sooo played out already? I'm not liking this shirt on her at all. The scarf, however, I love.

Well she is a rich woman and she wore expensive, luxurious and cheaper clothes too since she is 14

And the magic of Kate it is not the value of what she wears,
it is the way what she wears...

Let Kate spent her fortune in expensive wardrobe, after all a muse deserves it.
(As simple poor human her lucky life makes me dream and feeds my soul just as an expensive artwork does)

She is gifted alot of clothing... Someone said at her home (this being the home she had whilst she was with Pete) There used to be giant boxes scattered along the hall ways filled with clothing she'd been sent, that she was yet to wear etc etc... so I doubt it ever crosses her mind how much stuff costs... even whilst shopping...

Maybe because if she wore Balenciaga today she'd look like a robot or an alien. Sorry, but Balenciaga just isn't the cool, innovative fashion house it was in the early-mid '00s. Now, everything looks weird and boxy, so I'm glad Kate doesn't wear it.

Nothing's stopping her from wearing clothes from the older seasons, though. They'd still look good today. I'd like to see her rocking some early 2000's Balenciaga again. It's not as though anyone else is.
