WE thought it might happen - we hoped, in fact - but here is the proof that Cara Delevingne and Kate Moss have been posing together for Burberry's forthcoming fragrance campaign, shot by Mario Testino and due out later this year. This is the first time that Burberry has announced a new campaign via social media, choosing to share the image via its Instagram page.
While Moss has a long history with Burberry, having posed in its famous trenches - and often little else - alongside the likes of Stella Tennant, Liberty Ross, Otis Ferry, Lizzie Jagger and Lord Frederick Windsor, Cara was match-made with Eddie Redmayne to get hearts fluttering for the spring/summer 2013 campaign and is currently one of the faces of Burberry Beauty.
"So excited to be doing a new fragrance for Burberry with the beautiful Miss Moss, shot by Mario Testino - watch this space," tweeted Delevingne this morning.
This marks the first time that the pair - arguably the world's most famous models at the moment, whose talents were recently compared by Karl Lagerfeld - have worked together professionally. Details on the fragrance are minimal as yet, but it will be an entirely new offering from the brand to sit alongside its Brit, Brit Rhythm and Burberry Body scents.
