Another million for biker Kate
15th July 2006
Kate Moss
has landed her fifth major modelling contract
since the "Cocaine Kate"
scandal last September - a
£1million deal agreed in secret this month with classic biker outfitters Belstaff.
The black-and-white advertising
campaign to promote the firm's tight leather jackets
has boosted the 32-year-old supermodel's income to £12million.
That is well above what she was earning before she was exposed for allegedly taking co****ne with her on-off boyfriend, singer Pete Doherty.
Since the scandal broke, Croydon-born Kate has picked up deals with the likes of
Virgin Mobile,
Calvin Klein and
Stella McCartney. She also featured in the prestigious 2006
Pirelli calendar.
Belstaff - founded in the West Midlands but now based in Italy - was just one of more than 150 firms which have tried to book her for campaigns. A source at the company said: "The dr*g scandal did not concern us at all."
