I don't think that it matters how she looks in real life. Her job is to be on magazines. Photos are often works of art so it's no big deal if she's enhanced a bit with Photoshop. She's such a long-lasting model. Now some people are catching the light better in pictures and may actually look less fantastic in reality. The opposite is apparently true as well... It's all to do with being photogenic or not. In that sense I think Kate is extraordinary.

Of course she is not stunningly beautiful....and I prefer it that way. She has the kinda of face that you don't get sick looking at it all the time! To me she is quirky looking and not plastic at all!!

it's human nature. if you were her true fan you'd defend her. i don't see anything wrong with that.

Does anyone have pictures from a runway show Kate did for Galliano in the early Nineties? The one with "Gone With the Wind" theme, where Kate is running down the catwalk with this sad/panicked look in her face wearing a ball gown or a wedding dress (if I remember right)? There was a little snippet of it in last December/January's French Vogue, in the John Galliano page.

And about the shorts debate here...I thought, the first time I saw Kate wearing them and have thought since, that the older she gets, the younger she dresses. I don't think they look good at all. Hot pants are never good in my opinion, not even on Kate Moss. I like the more sophisticated shorts look (longer, darker and slouchier), but it's not my favourite look, and I rarely see people wearing them "right". But then again...Kate Moss is kind of lost for me. I just love her pre-2004 .

No offense twin star but this is utter nonsense. First of all, human nature is a questionable thing and people try and suppress parts of it every day. Second of all if you were a true fan, you wouldn't lessen her by being obsessive and blinkered and blind to her faults. You would see her faults and accept them. Thirdly, I think the initial post was about how people are treated on this forum when they express a criticism of Kate, not about defending her or not.

I adore Kate Moss. Her editorials are the bench mark of modelling and yet the mentality of some people with regard to her baffles me.

I have to agree with you....is like telling your best friend he/she looks good when she is not. I like Kate as much as anyone but I would still acknowledge her flaws. Giving my honest opinion and not being bias!!

Ugh...not liking the latest outfit it seems...

But I have to correct myself (or my last post). Kate does have "hit" outfits these days too, I just went through a bunch of candids from this year. It's just that she has too many misses, and the misses are VERY BAD. Without those; perfecto. But I do wish she'd stop working, her work is a real disappointment these days; a bunch of lifeless, over-photoshopped pictures. Those Dior's are a perfect example. Stella was so much better; why did they have to do Kate's so differently?
