I think Igbette means she is airbrushed into oblivion which is a characteristic of all her recent editorials and adverts. I think her modelling career is over, has been for a while, and I think she knows it too -hence the possibility of designer ranges etc etc. What is the point of seeing digital effects rather than Kate herself. The other possibility is to change her hair colour because the drab colouring she is sporting is doing nothing for her complexion. Maybe go brunette?
Yes I do mean airbrushing... But I disagree about her career being over, I still think she's a wonderful model as seen in her last work I just wish she'd step back and become picky again, elusive elfin kate!

(but than we wouldn't have as many candids... so just out of magazines for a little while but still out and about so we can feast our eyes!)

I loved her Cannes black dress, with Johnny. It had some feathers on the top. And her black Balenciaga she wore with fur, I think it was posted in the last page.
I love that dress too its such a memroable dress and if i am not wrong she wore it on several other occasions:blush: i also loved her hair at Cannes!:flower:

i just found my kate moss milk mustache ad. i have em all. i'm so glad i didn't end up selling them, or i wouldn't have this kate one still! i'm excited.

kate's modeling career isn't over. the problem facing kate is that she is beyond modeling. she's become so iconic with her fashion style and lifestyle in the past three years that she's surpassed modeling. she's beyond a pretty face, beyond a supermodel, beyond the fashion industry. she is a commodity and she is a brand, and she, herself is the product. when you see a calvin klein ad from 2006, you are tempted to buy calvin klein because kate is wearing it, not advertising it. in the 1992 ads, she was just a beautiful blank face.

The black balenciaga with fur was the most perfect I have ever seen a person look.... It was the climax of all her styles over the years

this is the only one of the ads I like - because I get kate attitude :p

that's why I dislike 00's models, in 1995 I saw Cindy C in Miami and :woot::woot::woot: she looked like in the magazines, she was everything that I was expecting to see, the same face, the same body, very spectacular and intimiding  but with Kate is totally different, she doesn't look like in ads/eds, that's why I think that she's like a virtual model, probably the first Super-photosop-model of a new era.

i think everything is so photoshoped these days is because all those models such as Cindy have grown older and become more imperfect so need lots of retouching. The first time I saw Carolyn Murphy on TV in her true form I could not believe it was her. I was so shocked. I'd be shocked seeing Kate to in these pap pics if all I had ever seen was her eds.

I haven't seen this CK campaign image posted yet, either:

i have been a fan of kate for less than a year, and the thing that made me like her was how unnoticeable she was. she is a model, she is supposed to be showing off the clothes, not herself. after i started looking at my old fashion magazines it amazed me how many ads she was in. such as i didn't even recognize that it was her until i started looking for her. then i started coming here and seeing her candids it made me think she was even more beautiful. she wears clothes so comfortably and that is the most important thing. her confidence is her beauty. she is not fake looking as i think a lot of other younger models today are. she can pull anything off and she looks great doing it. it impresses me her sense of style, even if it's just jean shorts with those ballet flats. she seems normal, and real, and at the same time completely glamorous. as for the photoshopping, i think all ads are way overdone, it just comes with it being 2006 i guess. i do agree that she only has a few years left in her as far as modeling. does she do shows anymore?

oh yeah i really like that CK ad above, my fav so far.

SUPER MODELSAfter three seasons favouring celebrities over models, Versace is harking back to the heydays of the supermodels in their new campaign. Gone are the likes of Halle Berry and Madonna, replaced instead with Kate Moss, Christy Turlington and Caroline Murphy, who were shot for the new autumn/winter campaign by Mario Testino. "It was time to do something different," says Donatella Versace. "People are really looking at the 'super' models again today: how they dress, both casually and on the red carpet, where they socialise, how they live. They are glamorous and they lead glamorous lives."

As for that Versace ad - Not liking it at all it is almost as bad as the Madonna ads :D

Does anyone know where Kate is at the moment?
Last I heard she was on holiday with Sadie, but Sadie has since returned so I am assuming Kate has too.

As for kate I read somewhere (can't remember where) that she was going on about three holidays Tuscany was one place mentioned. Just imagine what outfits she would come up with on a Tuscan farm!!:D

edit: please stay on topic - see tfs guidelines

Thanks for the links and scans. I also like the shot you've posted, while some of them I just don't get (like the one with crossed legs when she looks kind of intimidated...). Still my general opinion is positive - I like Kate in B&W photos and hate in colour & over-airbrushed ones.

some of this seasons kate ad's

David Yurman FW 2006

Dior FW 2006

Calvin Klein Jeans FW 2006
