kate looks like a tool at the charity auction. shorts and black nail polish. . . is she twelve?

I hate to say it, but 'tool' is the perfect word I'd use myself to describe Kate here (and lately.)

I am not sure of the context of the statement you were replying to but she has started in the past few years to add to her own attention.
The perfume and remaking her closet sure did that.

I agree about how she handles the paps though....
nobody does it as well as Kate.

I agree with you in a way (especially on dignity), but on the other hand her photos taken because of the what she wear actually.that's also why she got free designer stuff right?.designers know she will be spotted.of course I cant say She should wear bad clothes than papz stop take picture of her.
but What I'm trying to say is, yes she left runway but actually she still has a role in fashion.this candids thing is actually the part of a "something".

This is a dream come true for me; the stylish Sienna and the worlds most stylish woman, Kate, in the same pic being friendly with each other and having fun!! Could it be any better?
The two latest 'shorts-outfit' are incredibly gorgeous. I love those black Supefine shorts. And that coq tee is so cute, I wonder who the designer is? Anybody?
Furthermore I just love the fact that Kate has digged down to the bottom of her closet and thrown on those adorable highwasted shorts. I love them to death! I hope she will copy them to her own line

I really don't think what I said was either "stupid" or "unfair".

I too used to admire her for not speaking to the media, but she gave both print and tv interviews when her Topshop range was launched - I'd count that as "self-promotion".

Also, she bought into the "media obsession" and the hype surrounding her style by releasing her own clothing range, and posing for paparazzi in the window of a shop on Oxford St...

She "puts up" with the paparazzi?! Before Pete appeared on the scene, the paparazzi didn't follow her everywhere. She encouraged the new attention - I remember pictures of her and Pete kissing passionately in the street in the early days of their relationship, obviously fully aware of the cameras. She has played up for the paparazzi on many other occasions and also did a photo shoot with Pete for Dazed and Confused.

I'm not criticising her for any of this, it's her life afterall, but I find it odd that people feel sorry for her because of the attention that surrounds her, because, yes, I do think she has brought it all on herself.

I really don't buy this... if she didn't want to be followed, she could have avoided them ... like so many other celebs do... and celebrities as popular or as stylish as she is....

Paparazzi have been a necessary evil in her career after her modelling days and she knows this too well , hence she explores it to the maximum...

I'm not saying it's wrong or right, I'm just saying that she uses them as a tool to keep her career going.... and until now she has been doing an excellent job imho.... despite the fact that her cool factor has become a shadow of its former self because of the overexposure....

obviously she will be able to keep shifting clothes at least until her overexposure burns her and until the masses get fed up with her....

which usually takes some time, in the same way it took time for the masses to discover her...

(the word "masses" here, refers to the people that are not so much into fashion and just catch up with trends much later than the fashion circuit)
